Re-mount USB drive without unplugging it?

Too often I'll click the "Safely Remove Hardware" button to unmount a

USB drive and then realize I forgot something. I'll then have to

unplug it and plug it back in (or for my backup drive, turn it off,

wait a few seconds and turn it back on) again to get Windows to

re-mount it.

Is there a simple way to get Windows to re-mount the drive without

unplugging it?

The same question applies to my digital camera.
