Guest Joseph K. Posted July 17, 2007 Posted July 17, 2007 I have a user with a Windows XP Pro (SP2+) laptop that is having a problem keeping a shared folder on an NT4 server mapped. It randomly disconnects. We can't seem to figure out a way to either get it to reconnect or permanently stay connected. When he tries to access the mapped drive, he either gets the message that the drive (Z:) is already in use or he gets a prompt to enter in his user credential (and then a subsequent message indicating that that user is already authenticated). We're in a Server 2003 environment and the customer is authenticating to the domain without any problem. He is mapping the network drive with the "reconnect at logon" option set. I'm at a loss as to what the problem could be. I've checked the firewall on his system and I've tried removing his computer profile from AD. I haven't tried deleting his user account yet. I'm not sure that that is the cause of the problem. If anyone has any suggestions on what else I should look at, I would appreciate it. Quote
