After the most recent auto updates from microsoft upon restart the monitor

came up black with a blinking cursor in the upper left hand corner. I tried

control alt delete a few times which brought me a black screen with the

following message "Previous attempts at booting this system have failed at

checkpoint [uSBd]. After about 5 minutes a reboot screen came on and I chose

normal reboot and could get into windows. Each time I shutdown or restart my

system I seem to have to go through the same process. Does anyone know how to

get rid of this and why the latest updates might have caused this?
