IE7 closes unexpectantly

I thought I would start a new thread as I was getting lost with to much info

in my other thread.

I have now adjusted IE7 settings as previously advised,(lowered security,

cleared cache etc etc) run anti-virus,malware scans with AVG, ad aware and

superantispyware

As a test, I downloaded firefox to see if I could get into the link within

my daughters uni website, and firefox closed unexpectantly when clicking on

the link too.

(I can get in this link with my PC at work, so its not the link, and fellow

students are not having problems accessing it)

so maybe the problem is not in the browser?

any thoughts anyone?
