WinXp latest .NET framework prevents machine from entering hibernation?

After having let Windows XP Home 2002 SP2 do its automatic updates, I

am no longer able to have my laptop enter into hibernation mode. I

get the following message:

 

The service 'Microsoft .NET Framework v1.1.4322 Update' is preventing

the machine from entering hibernation. Try stopping this service and

try again.

 

How do I solve it? Or if not, what can I stop in the Windows Task

Manager?
