Windows Backup Utility: Lost Power During Restore Job

Recommended Posts

So the power cord connected to my Seagate USB disk drive fell out in the

middle of a restore job. I looked in the directory where the .bkf file was

*supposed* to be and it was no longer there.

Does anyone have ANY idea where the file could be? I did a search for the

exact file name but it's not on my local system OR the backup drive.

Side note: I was restoring the files from my backup disk to another machine

on my home network (an iMac). I don't think it should matter, but thought I'd

mention it.

Would *really* appreciate help on this. I'm a consultant and I had client

files on it. I've been trying to burn dvds all day to avoid just this

issue..figures.
