So I've Googled my eyes out looking for some sort of solution to this

problem. I've got an Xbox 360 and setup a laptop to do media sharing to

it using Media Player 11. Unfortunately, the lappy tanked, so I've moved

my external media drive to my desktop system and installed WMP11.

After installing though, the very first thing I go to do is share the

library so the Xbox can pick it up. Problem is, it won't let me. I

click the Library drop down menu and choose media sharing and

immediately get the following message:

"You are logged on with a user account that does not have sufficient

permissions to turn on media sharing"

I keep thinking 'I beg to differ', since there are only two user

accounts on this XP (sp2) system and they are both Administrators with

full rights. I've run the gamut of usually solutions,

uninstall/reinstall, rollback to wmp10 and reinstall and set the WMP

shortcut to run as Administrator. Everything I can think of short of a

full system wipe. No luck.

Any takers? I'm stumped.
