I have xp second home ed, and all of a sudden I have installed a blue tooth

dongle, and upon restart, as requested by pc, all my items have vanished off

the desktop.

If i go via c,docs and settings etc, they are all in there but aren't

actually visible on the desktop itself. I have placed a desktop toolbar in

the bar at the bottom and again all items are present. I have two users on my

pc and if you log on to the other one then all their items are present and

correct!

its just mine.

I have un-installed the dongle just in case, but still no joy.

For some reason, i cannot do a system restore either, it says it isnt

possible after a few minutes of trying then restarting. doesn't give any

other reason.

I have norton and all is up to date on the protection front and have run a

full virus scan.

any help would be much apprciated, amany thanks.
