How can I stop the QuickTime file 'qttask.exe' from reinstalling itself when

I delete it from the msconfig program?

Thank you;

It's done from within the QuickTime program. Look at the options in

there. I'd check the specific location except for the fact I have

totally deleted QT from my system. If I go to a site that requires QT,

then I won't be viewing that site. :)

Hello,

Right-click the QuickTime icon in the system tray, preferences, advanced and

uncheck install QuickTime in the tray. This is from memory and may slightly

differ.

Rename qttask.exe to something like qttask.old.

Good luck
