Hi There

Can anybody advise me if I must connect an audio cable from the back

of this unit to get audio through my computer or is there an

installation program that I need to use, I was told it was not

necesary to connect an audio cable so just installed as I have another

cd drive connected to the audio on my main board - sorry to sound

stupid but I am a mature age person

Thanks a million

On the back of the computer, the sound card will have several input plugs.

You want to use a cable from the DVD 'speaker' or 'line out', to the computer

'line in'. These will be written in hard to read engravings in the metal of

the case next to the plugs. (My old eyes need a flashlight :)

Next, go to start, run, and type:

sndvol32

Options menu, put a check in all the boxes in Properties, and OK.

When you see the "Line In' slider, be sure it is not 'muted' with a checkmark
