I'm wanting to install a new internal HD. I need to enter CMOS/BIOS to

check some settings. When I boot, my options screen lasts only 2-3 seconds.

I did see that DEL and ALT+F2 are options. Del took me to a dialog to

select a boot-up device. Alt=F2 took me to Flash Bios.

My motherboard is ASUS P4BGL-VM. I'm running Win XP Home SP2 fully patched.

How can I get to BIOS/CMOS?

Above is the hardware guide for your Motherboard, which explain on Page No.

57 that Del is the key to enter in CMOS Setup. I think you are having the

wrong timings. Turn on your PC and hold down the DEL key.

Hope this help, let us know!

Section 4.2 of the downloadable manual, says to press "delete" early in the POST,

to enter the BIOS.

Thank you both so much! I never thought to press DELETE and keep it

pressed. I'll give that a try. You guys are wonderful. :-)
