I have a question about tabs. My first tab will take me to my homepage.

The second tab automatically takes me to a page called FIRESEACH search

engine.

How can I get the second tab to stop directing to this FIRESEARCH.

You might direct this question to one dealing with IE.

Go to the Internet Options in IE Tools and set the homepage temporarily to

"blank". Click okay, exit IE and restart IE. There should be only one tab

showing when IE opens and it should be a blank page. If the Firesearch page

still shows up you should use a spyware/malware scanning program to remove

it.

If the Firesearch tab does not show up when your homepage is set to blank

then the page you were using as homepage is also loading the Firesearch web

page. Short of not using that web site as your homepage, you can block the

unwanted search page from loading... eg. by putting the Firesearch URL into

the Restricted sites category in IE7 security settings or in your

anti-virus, firewall software, etc. etc. whatever you have available that

can block web pages.
