What is the trick to copying "my documents" to order to back it up. I've

tried removing all of the attributes in DOS to no avail.

    use CD mate, I get an "access denied- see the boss" error, but, I am the

    the exact error message is:

     

    "Cannot create or replace My Documents. Access is denied.

     

    Make sure the disk is not full (I've changed 2 new cd-rs) or

    write-protected and that the file is not currently in use."

    It seems you are using the CD-writer in re-write mode. Try it in write-once

    mode (CD-ROM) instead.

    Right-click the "My Documents" icon, select "Properties" and see if

    there is a "Target" folder. If so, try copying it instead.

    Good suggestion, but, it didn't work. I only saw the MS DOS name under

    properties, not any path. Also, MD is in the root directory, so the path

    is CD\mydocu~1. I also have the same problem when I try to copy a single

    folder within MD with the same error message. I'm going to try and

    fiddle with my CD copy program, or, I believe I might have Easy CD

    Creator somewhere, which always worked. I'll let the group know.
