How do you stop the 'Physical Memory Dump Complete' blue screen on start-up?

Have to do a system restore when this happens. Thanks.

Open Control Panel - System - Advanced and click on the Settings

button in the Startup and Recovery (bottom) section.

 

In the Startup and Recovery window first look at the checkbox for

"Automatically restart". If that is selected then click on it once

to clear it. If it is clear leave it that way.

 

Next click on the drop down menu under the "Write debugging

information" heading and change the selected memory dump option to

(none).

 

Note that turning off the memory dumps will not do anything about

fixing the actual problem that was causing a memory dump to be

created. However getting rid of the automatic restarts may help in

this regard, at least to the extent of producing a visible error

message (Blue Screen Of Death). If that does happen then the contents

of the BSOD will provide a direct clue as to the nature and cause of

the problem. Post the BSOD information back here, including the STOP

code, all 4 parameters, and any file or module names mentioned.
