I use off-line files. In the Synchronizing dialog box is an item that no

longer exists - how do I remove this?

Hi,

Try unchecking the favorite in the synchronize box, then clear the Temporary

Internet Files and check the "Delete offline content" when that box pops up.

Hope this helps,

Thanks - when I go to delete I get two options:

"Delete only the temporary off-line versions" and

"Delete both the temporary off-line versions and the versions that are

always available off-line"

Which one should I choose?

Hi,

Check for a sub-key under this registry key:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Windows\ CurrentVersion\

Webcheck\Store.1]

Export that key or export the entire registry or create a Restore point then

delete the sub-key for the spurious entry.

Also... useful (free) program:

RegSeeker from http://www.hoverdesk.net/freeware.htm

The "Find" function is fast and convenient. I haven't used other features.

Note that *any* registry cleaner has the potential to cause damage.

there's no \DEFAULT\ option under HKEY_CURRENT_USER.......

There's no subkey (that I can see) in Webcheck\Store.1 for the spurrious

entry

The only subkey I have in there is this:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Webcheck\Store.1\{BE105200-8D77-01C7-0000-000096863330}

Sorry, that was a typo. My one offline favorite is listed as a sub-key under

Webcheck\Store.1

When you select {BE105200-8D77-01C7-0000-000096863330} (left click) what

name shows up in the right pane?

There are several:

Default

~SubsInfo

ActualSizekb

DesktopComponent

Name

RecurseFlags

URL

You may need to resize columns to see the Data column. Is the first entry in

the Data column "My Current Home Page" or something else?

Hi,

That's no help. ;-)

I'm down to one last idea... locate the Favorite for this site and delete

it?
