I'm having the same problem with clock sync, and tried this solution. I was

able to stop the service, but i couldn't unregister (access problem) and

then couldn't restart it! Now i don't know where i am - seems like i have

no time service running and don't know how to restart it. What did i do

wrong? Thanks

Microsoft Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600]

C:\>net stop w32time

The Windows Time service is stopping.

The Windows Time service was stopped successfully.

C:\>w32tm.exe /unregister

The following error occurred: Access is denied. (0x80070005)

C:\>net start w32time

The service name is invalid.

More help is available by typing NET HELPMSG 2185.

C:\>w232tm.exe /register

'w232tm.exe' is not recognized as an internal or external command,

operable program or batch file.
