Had a friend ask me , when he run a virus scan with verizon's virus scanner,

when he came back

had a blue screen with writing.

Stop error screen, any new hardware of software is properly installed,

beginning physiscal dump of physical memory

then he reset the computer and got this,

order my be reversed in the way he told me.

Kcor40.dll was not found/

one or more system dll's could not be loaded.

fatal system error, system shutdown.

suggestions?

You could try booting up in "Safe Mode" (hold down F8 while the computer

boots up) and then uninstalling the Verizon Virus Scanner.

Kcor40.dll is a Kodak Easy Share file so it should be entirely

dispensable and not loading it should not cause any sort of fatal

system error. Note that is "should not" rather than "will not" as

the incompetent bungling nincompoops who produced that software are of

the same ilk as the incompetent bungling nincompoops who produce

software for Symantec/Norton.

But the basic fact is we need information, specifically from the "blue

screen with writing". Without that information, especially the error

(STOP) code and all 4 of the parameters for it there is no point in

even attempting to suggest a solution.

Post that information from the "blue screen with writing" back here

and we should be able to give you some practical suggestions.

Good luck
