Posted July 3, 200717 yr Last night I ran Windows update to install Server 2003 SP1. All seemed to be going well. I did get one message which is as follows: c:\windows\system32\drivers\symmpi.sys Your computer vendor installed this file on your computer. Do you want Service Pack 1 Setup to replace this file? I answered no installation continued fine... Installation failure Error Code: 0xD0000005 Try to install the update again, or request help from one of the following resources. I did a properties on my computer and it shows that I am running SP1 now. It is also in add remove programs. The other thing that came up during installation was the following message
