Hi,

I can surf the web, FTP works, but I can't ping. I pinged the

loopback address and it worked fine. I can't ping my remote SQL

Server database or sites that I know for fact have servers that don't

reject pinging. DNS works fine.

Why I care? Well, I'm a bit confused (don't know the importance of

the pinging issue, but..) - I have a DotNetNuke installation on my

ISP. Uploading the file system from my ISP into MS Visual Studio 2005

Express through FTP works, but it takes about 10 minutes to bring up

all the files for my project. When I try to build the solution,

basically it hangs and doesn't do anything, though it says at the

bottom part of the Visual Studio connecting to files over the web.

When I connect to my ISP through WS FTP, it works fine. It's very

fast. I don't know what the problem is in terms of these lags in

uploading files from my DotNetNuke installation from my ISP and why it

hangs when I try to build the solution.

I'd be most appreciative if anyone can help

Sincerely,

Newbie Rodriguez
