Windows 2003 storage srver questions

I have a w2k3 SBS server.

 

I have a CAD department and they store their files on a Snap! server.

 

I want to move them to a storage server which will also act as a secondary

backup to the main server.

 

I am having difficulty trying to work out how to set this up so that it can

be backed up.

 

My supplier says that windows 2003 Storage server comes preconfigured and

preinstalled.

 

That tends to suggest that I cannot get to add/remove programs to add my

Backup exec agent for example.

 

The main problem that my Cad people have with the snap! server is that it

does not have an operating system so bexec always falls back to using native

file access and is slow.

 

Symantec site says nothing about whether I can install on a NAS server ...

it speaks volumes about using the NAS device for backing up -to- but not

about itself being backed up.

 

Am I missing something here? I have spent the last couple of hours trawling

for some sort of idea on how I can intergrate my NAS server with my SBS

domain and use it in the way that I want to.

 

Can anyone point me in the right direction please? I am more than happy to

google but I must just not be using the right search words.

    Essentially, we are already sold on the idea of a NAS server, we are

    replacing the existing Snap! NAS with a better model.

     

    And I have a number of areas where NAS is a better option.

     

    And its something that I want to try out and is geared towards this sort of

    functionality.
