On one xp machine I have if I type anything in the "run" box (such as

msconfig or regedit) it will retain the item I typed seemingly

forever. The next time I start the computer if I open "run" I'll see

msconfig already there and all I have to hit is ok. On my other xp

machine that info disappears when the computer is turned off. Why the

difference and can I change something to make it stick?

Thanks
