Hello. I was wondering if there is a way to find out why my servers

take so long to boot up. We bought them all at the same time and are

all configured pretty much teh same and they all take approx 20

minutes to get to a long prompt. Thanks.

More than likely a DNS issue.

They are all domain controllers part of the same domain. Do I really

want to mess with this stuff? I didn't do the original configuration

so I'm not sure if it was done right. Is there somethign specific I

can look for?

The fact that you ask (a good thing) maybe not. Get someone to come in and

check it out.

I know how to use server and such. I originally thought it was

related to the APC software which was a known issue but I have patched

everything for that and even removed and still had the problem. I

understand DNS and am somewhat familiar with it but I'm not sure if

that is the issue here.

Yeah it was DNS. Added another DC at another site as the other DNS

and it boots up smokin fast. Thanks.

Good to hear. You're welcome.
