Using WinXP Media: Is there a way to set all of the start menus, docs, and

desktop to be identical, and keep it that way? Tired of looking all over

the place to synchronize all of them.

Thanks so much,

Yoly

All of what "start menus, docs and desktop"? What exactly are you trying to

do?

Rock [MS-MVP User/Shell]

Hi Rock,

I am the only one using this PC.

I am trying to organize and consolidate all of the start menus (right now I

have Administrator, All Users, Default User, and Yoly with different start

items in each). I would like to have them all in the same place, and to

default there. Desktop is the same, although not as important. My Docs is

really not a big issue, since I can choose where to save.

I would like to have the same default location on all of the start menus,

specifically.

Thanks,

Yoly

Then you want to look at this link that Rock gave you:

How to create a custom default user profile -

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/319974/en-us

Obviously this only works for new user accounts so create your custom

default profile and then create new user accounts from it. You'll need

to hand-configure any user accounts that already exist.
