Hi can someone please help me?

 

I am unable to connect to the internet I am recieving page cannot be

displayed

and when I run a dianostic it tells me that there is an error with the

winsock I have ran a repair several times but is reoccures every time

 

Please can someone help?

Start button --> RUN --> type in:

 

cmd /k netsh winsock reset

 

--> OK

 

Reboot the computer.

 

Come back and let us know if that worked.

Also beside running the command, try to scan for malware and viruses as this

number one enemy of the Winsock.

Thank you for your help I can now access the internet

 

I ran both the command and two scans for malware and adware and that was the

problem i tried to download a programme and since then the problem occured I

had some sort of virus from the download
