If I already have a W2K3 Enterprise PDC with 25 CAL's that I purchased a year

ago, is it legal to purchase another W2K3 Enterprise edition with 25 CAL's

from another vendor, install it on another domain controller joined to the

same domain as the first and consider that I have 50 CAL's in the same domain?

I know the math works, I just don't know if it's legal according to MS

licensing. In other words, can you just keep buying server editions with

CAL's and adding them to your domain w/o buying CAL's by themselves? I think

the answer is yes, Microsoft is still getting their money by buying the

server editions.

I'd have to assume it was OK, but honestly, you'd be better off contacting

MS directly - or your reseller - for the absolute word on the subject.
