Hi everyone,

I apologise if this question has already been asked on the forum, but the Microsoft help and support page has so far been useless.

My CD/DVD drive is having trouble reading audio or data CD's - it doesn't recognize that there is a disk in the drive. I've tried numerous CDs, all of which worked until a couple of days ago, and it doesn't recognize them. It only plays the utilities CD-ROM that came with my computer and DVD's. I've already been through all the related troubleshooter instructions and the Microsoft website and as far as I know I have the most up-to-date driver. Please, if anyone has any ideas or advice, they will be much appreciated!

Thanks,

Perperikon010

P.S. The computer in question is a Toshiba Satellite Pro Laptop, running with Windows XP, if that is of any help.
