two hard drives problems

Hi,

I have a problem maybe someone can help. I have two maxtor hard drives. I had them both on a machine and it was working good. I upgraded motherboard and cpu. Installed one with the op. system and had to install win again. Now I try to plug in the other one, cause I have a lot of data on it, in the Bios it finds it o.k. but in windows it is not there what do I need to do. I have win xp pro.

Start > Administrative Tools > Computer Management.

In the left column expnad storage and select disk management. You'll be able to activate and assign drive letters to the drive and then it will be available to use.
