Lschaser Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 Hope someone can help. A friend of mine rebuilt a computer for me that crashed about 6 months ago. Before the crash I had sound. I installed a new HD and everything works fine except for sound. I never bothered to doing anything about the sound 6 months ago but now I want to be able to hear music and can't and would like to fix the proble. I don't have any drivers. I cant seem to get a hold of the person who built the computer to see if he has a driver for the soundcard. Can anyone tell me what else I can do. Should I go out and buy another soundcard? I really dont think there is anything wrong with this one. Thanks. Quote
FPCH Admin AWS Posted February 25, 2006 FPCH Admin Posted February 25, 2006 If you know what kind of soundcard it is you can download drivers for it. Check device manager and see if there are any unrecognized devices. Quote Off Topic Forum - Unlike the Rest
phreakwars Posted February 25, 2006 Posted February 25, 2006 pull the card out and read the chip to see what brand or model it is and try http://www.driversguide.com/ . . Quote
