I downloaded a few screensavers and got 3 Pup [potentially unwanted programs] in my pc, when I did a virus scan 3 adware programs showed up;

1] If I were to "delete" those 3 adware programs will I still have be able to keep and use the screensavers?

2] If the answer to question 1 is "no" then if I were to "quarantine" the 3 adwares, would I be able tokeep and use the screensavers?

3] I really love those screensavers and would like to keep them, if the answer to 1 and 2 is "no", keeping the adwares in my pc as they are, would this do any "harm" at all? If so, what harm can those adwares do?

Thanks.

1 - Depends on the design of the screensavers. If they are written to check for the associated baddies, then no, they won't work.

2 - See above

3 - It's bad for performance, stability, and most importantly security to have unknown ad/spy/malware running. If you find any, kill it off without question.
