I would like to record some sounds from one of those Arcade games on Nickelodeon for personal experiments and NOT for commercial use of any kind but when I open a game it fills the whole screen so I can't get to use Windows Recorder, is there any way that this can be done please? Thanks.

Thanks, someone else told me to simply start the recording and then bring up the game and then stop the recording after I have heard the fx's that I want, then I can use an editing software to separate different fx's, my only problem with this is trying to find games that don't have any "background" music becuase I can't separate the fx from the background music.

Big problem, I just realised that all of the games have "background" music and was told on a game forum that I could use an "emulator" to remove the background music to keep only the fx but I don't understand what an emulator is and does, can anyone here explain this to me please? Thanks.
