Posted July 26, 200519 yr Hello to all! I'm a newbie here and I want to know your opinion about backup software. I can't choose between two utilities: Acronis True Image 8.0 http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/trueimage/ and Backup Wolf 3.13 http://www.lonewolf-software.com/BackupWolfDownload.htm Nevertheless I heard, Acronis has much more features but is more expensive. But generally I'm ready to pay more to get really good product. So have you ever used these programs and what would your recommendations be?
August 6, 200519 yr The only tool I've ever used for disk imaging is Norton Ghost. It works pretty well, and seemed speedy enough. I've never used either of the tools you were looking at, but the key features that you want to look for are exact disk imaging, rather than a simple copy, and support for backing up to a variety of media (hidden partition, CD-R series, network). It's also really nice if they let you create a boot disk to restore the image from the network or a CD-R series. -The Gavster Three students died that year at the academy; one was executed, one was killed in a training accident, and one died of natural causes, for a knife to back will naturally kill anyone. -RA Salvatore Like to IRC?
