handan2002 Posted April 12, 2005 Posted April 12, 2005 Hi guys, I just bought an old IBM PC300GL so I could play around with it. However, I'm having trouble getting into the BIOS to change the settings. I've tried all the F keys, the delete key, and the esc key, but nothing works. There's no OS installed so it doesn't exactly help if I can't get into the BIOS to allow for a CD-ROM boot. So, please help! Any suggestions are welcomed! Thanks! FPCH Admin AWS Posted April 12, 2005 FPCH Admin Posted April 12, 2005 Make sure the cmos battery isn't dead. If it is dead or weak it won't keep the changes after reboot. Quote Off Topic Forum - Unlike the Rest
handan2002 Posted April 12, 2005 Author Posted April 12, 2005 Oh the CMOS battrey seems to be just fine. How would i go abouts getting into the BIOS though? Thank you! Quote Have you ever realised that anyone driving faster than you is an idiot and anyone driving slower than you is a loser?
FPCH Admin AWS Posted April 12, 2005 FPCH Admin Posted April 12, 2005 OH, You don't know the key combo to get into bios. Most bios use delete. There are a few, older Phoenix bios, that use alt key. My laptop it's alt/insert. Quote Off Topic Forum - Unlike the Rest
