Win 2003 server won't access HDD

Hi,

 

I'm new here and need some help. A friend has a win 2003 server setup with a external HDD. While the server accepts that there is a external drive, it won't show it in the explorer nore in My Computer. It also shows up when he opens up Computer Management.

 

The same HDD works without a problem under XP, sees it, shows it and can access it.

 

Anyone have any ideas?

You have to use disk manager in computer management to create the volumes for the disk. Once you do that it will work.
