Posted November 22, 200420 yr When I turn on my PC it takes me to a screen where I have to click on the user name before going to the desktop....the issue here is that when I do, it says the activation key is needed and when I click "ok" it says that there it's already been activated.....then it stays on the same screen and never takes me to the desktop. Any suggestions?? Thanks, CS.

Of course it will break your other applications because the registry will be re-written but you cannot get to the desktop anyway. -Upinya

If you can you can get to run and follow these steps to clear your key so you can reenter it, and reactivate. http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;328874
