Posted July 28, 200420 yr hello everone this is my first time posting so please forgive me i i dont do it right/// this is my problem i am tring to install a radon display adapter in my new computer it is a AuthenticAMD AMD Athlon XP 2000+ 224MB RAM 52% system resources free Windows-managed swap file on drive C (33474MB free) Available space on drive C: 33474MB of 39188MB (FAT32) I had this ati in my old compaq and had no problems. the proble i am having now is when i go into the bios to change the agp to pci and load windows it frezzes up i have read that the onboard grapics card needs to be dissabled but have no idea how to please help ther is also no way to dissable it under devise manger it only has the opion to diss in this hardware profile
July 28, 200420 yr FPCH Admin In the bios there is an option to enable/disable onboard devices. Disable the onboard video and the addon vid card will be recognized by Windows and installed. Off Topic Forum - Unlike the Rest
July 28, 200420 yr Author tryed that the only opion i have under bios is the option to switch weather i want vga or pci first i have the ati insstalled but have to run it at a very lover hardware accl or it will frezze up so i cannot take advange of the ati
