erishoodmts.net Posted July 10, 2004 Posted July 10, 2004 Hey All; Hope someone can help. I'm desperatly looking for a power supply for a HP Pavilion 3260 desktop. This is the first power supply that I've seen without it's own cooling fan, so it's small. The original was made by Bestec. Please let me know, if there is somewhere I can find this. The computer is sold and the lady is getting upset. Thanks ...........Jim  Quote
FPCH Admin AWS Posted July 10, 2004 FPCH Admin Posted July 10, 2004 You might want to try some of the suplus harware sites on the net. Do a search on Google to find them. Why not just replace it with a newer PS? It should fit the case with a few mods. Quote Off Topic Forum - Unlike the Rest
GavinO Posted July 10, 2004 Posted July 10, 2004 As far as I know, the only company that has used proprietary PSU connector pinouts is Dell; I would bet that if your HP has a standard ATX connector going to the motherboard, a standard ATX supply will work. Just need to check the PSU dimensions before buying one (it may be a standard small-formfactor PSU size) Quote -The Gavster Three students died that year at the academy; one was executed, one was killed in a training accident, and one died of natural causes, for a knife to back will naturally kill anyone. -RA Salvatore Like to IRC? FPCH Admin AWS Posted July 10, 2004 FPCH Admin Posted July 10, 2004 After thinking this is probably an AT motherboard. The only place to find a PS for them is a surplus house or Ebay. Quote Off Topic Forum - Unlike the Rest
FPCH Admin AWS Posted July 10, 2004 FPCH Admin Posted July 10, 2004 Not AT, but small form factor ATX. Try this guy on Ebay http://stores.ebay.com/thirtyday. Specifically this page: http://stores.ebay.com/thirtyday_HP-Compaq-Power-Supply He has a bunch of HP power supplies and might have the one you need. I found one for you.
