Adamant Posted July 9, 2004 Posted July 9, 2004 Hi folks, Over the last week, games have been crashing constantly seemingly for no reason. I play a lot of Call of Duty which was running nicely, I installed Medal of Honor: Allied Assualt which ran for a short time then crashes every few minutes. Likewise now for COD. I have installed all the latest patches for both games, the latest video card drivers, and am using Direct x 9.0b. I have tried disabling anti-virus progs etc but no joy. It was suggested that I try swapping my two sticks of ram over which I will do this evening. My Cyberlink DVD player now even crashes several times during play. New games I install crash every few minutes. They even crash to a blue screen and start a "memory dump"? I am trying to put off a format as I know someone who has had this problem even after a full format. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Quote
FPCH Admin AWS Posted July 9, 2004 FPCH Admin Posted July 9, 2004 What error messages are you getting during the blue screens? It should give some kind of error. You should try downgrading to an older driver. Sometimes the newest won't be compatible with the hardware you use. Quote Off Topic Forum - Unlike the Rest
