FPCH Admin AWS Posted July 4, 2004 FPCH Admin Posted July 4, 2004 I have it installed and use it from time to time. I still prefer IE or Opera. Quote Off Topic Forum - Unlike the Rest
GavinO Posted July 4, 2004 Posted July 4, 2004 Lots of people support FireFox, I've never used it extensively. My primary browser is Opera, it has worked fantastically for me. The key features common to both Opera and FireFox that make them better are tabs (ie, your taskbar doesn't fill up with lots of windows), control over popups, javascript, etc, and security. The other plus is that IE is the only browser condemned by multiple government agencies, including Homeland Security, as dangerous to use. GavinO Posted July 13, 2004 Posted July 13, 2004 The US Department of Homeland Security, among other federal agencies, has recently released statements to the effect of IE being dangerous in general use. Having seen pretty random problems stemming from seemingly safe browsing practice in IE, I tend to agree :) Quote -The Gavster Three students died that year at the academy; one was executed, one was killed in a training accident, and one died of natural causes, for a knife to back will naturally kill anyone. -RA Salvatore Like to IRC?
