Posted May 9, 200420 yr I've been running a web server on my cable line, using my Linksys router to forward port 80 traffic to the appropriate machine. This was working fine until the latest round of reorganization. Now, neither setting the forwarding, setting the DMZ host, or both to the server machine seems to work. I don't think that this is a problem with my ISP, as I've had the server working before. Any suggestions as to settings to poke at are eagerly accepted. -The Gavster Three students died that year at the academy; one was executed, one was killed in a training accident, and one died of natural causes, for a knife to back will naturally kill anyone. -RA Salvatore Like to IRC? May 9, 200420 yr FPCH Admin Make sure block wan request is disabled. Set your server to listen on port 8080, open up that port in the router and see if you can connect. With the recent outbreak of new and modified worms some ISP that didn't block ports are doing so now. If you can connect on 8080 then 80 is probably blocked. Another Forum - Unlike the Rest
