Posted April 30, 200420 yr Hi! Just out of interest, I was wondering how many of you guys (and girls) are actually loyal to only 1 OS (company)? If not, what OSs do you use? Have you ever realised that anyone driving faster than you is an idiot and anyone driving slower than you is a loser?
April 30, 200420 yr Author I use Windows 98SE/2000 at work. But at home I use Mac OSX. Do you find it hard to switch between the two environments? I've used OSX before and I find the two to be quite different. Have you ever realised that anyone driving faster than you is an idiot and anyone driving slower than you is a loser?

May 2, 200420 yr I use either a WinXP Pro or Win98SE machine depending where I am for the day, though I'm trying to get Linux up and running (making it hard by using the Core Linux distro, which comes with absolutely nothing preinstalled (not even a dhcp client!)) -The Gavster Three students died that year at the academy; one was executed, one was killed in a training accident, and one died of natural causes, for a knife to back will naturally kill anyone. -RA Salvatore Like to IRC? June 7, 200420 yr I normally use 2k cos im not too keen on xp (seems like an operating system designed around clippy from office). I will be installing linux when I get home as a dual boot cos were always asked to program for it. We are learning distributed systems next year so I think a decent knowledge of unix would be preferable but linux should do the job. More to the point, i want to start making some opensource apps for linux cos i do like the idea of free software.
June 25, 200420 yr At work, we use Win2k as the desktop OS. At home, we use XP Home. Using a consistent OS across multiple workstations makes it easier for me, across my home network, to keep everyone's systems up to date with the latest updates and virus definitions.
