Hello all,

 

I just assembled my first PC, the instalation went smoothly just for one little detail, I can see in the Device Manager window that I have 2 HDs, but I can only see the one I formatted during instalation in My PC.

 

I think the second HD is not formatted so thats maybe why I cant see it, or is it due I connected the HD to the top connector in the IDE cable and leaving the middle connector alone? (the config of the jumpers in the HD is set to 'master')

 

I think this is probably a dumb Q but I've never encounter such issues!

It needs to be formatted. If you are running XP go to

 

Start > Administartive Tools > Computer Management

Click disk management. Your HD will show there. Right click and select format. Once the format is complete you will be able to use the disk.
