XVB Posted March 25, 2004 Posted March 25, 2004 Hello all, I just assembled my first PC, the instalation went smoothly just for one little detail, I can see in the Device Manager window that I have 2 HDs, but I can only see the one I formatted during instalation in My PC. I think the second HD is not formatted so thats maybe why I cant see it, or is it due I connected the HD to the top connector in the IDE cable and leaving the middle connector alone? (the config of the jumpers in the HD is set to 'master') I think this is probably a dumb Q but I've never encounter such issues! Quote
FPCH Admin AWS Posted March 25, 2004 FPCH Admin Posted March 25, 2004 It needs to be formatted. If you are running XP go to Start > Administartive Tools > Computer Management Click disk management. Your HD will show there. Right click and select format. Once the format is complete you will be able to use the disk. Quote Off Topic Forum - Unlike the Rest
