Dear Friends,

I am facing problem regarding IIS configuration and Windows 2000 server.

Steps done to install Windows 2000 server.

1.I had already Linux and Windows 2000 Professional on my machine.

2.I wanted to upgrade my professional.

3.so I installed a Windows 2000 server.

4.Along with this, I installed IIS,Network services and other important services.

5.Installation has been done successfully.

6.When I started my IIS first time, it reports no error so I installed redistributable Framework to support ASP.net.

7.But after that my IIS has stopped working.

8.I found IIS running fine (i.e. IIS service manager shows that IIS is running)

9.In task manager also I found iisserv.exe working, but default website is not working.

10. I reinstalled Win2K but same problem arises.

11. I checked in Services , but seems everything is OK,

Now what could be the problem. It really frustrated me. I dont know what to do because I tried almost everything. but not able to start my IIS.

Please can anybody help me out.

If possible for anyone, please send me the documention and steps involved to install Win2k server and how to start IIS?

My machine is not one the network. Its a stand alone machine

Also It doesnt have internet connection.

If you need any more information please do write me. I really want some solution on this.

Thanks in advance

>>>Go into the IIS manager and stop IIS. Restart IIS

I did this thing several time , but I was not able to start IIS.

I think problem is different. because I reinstall Windows 2000 server but problem remains there only.

So if possible please let me know what should I do to run IIS.

also thanks for your reply.
