Chris00 Posted January 16, 2004 Posted January 16, 2004 (edited) I've had this problem for the past 2 or 3 days, everytime I start up IE I get a memory error (see pic). I'm running Windows XP Pro with IE 6 I've done all of the updates Uninstalled the Google Search bar Ran 2 Spy\Adware finding apps Removed and added IE again But nothing seems to have helped, I do not get the error when I use the file explorer only when I use the Internet Explorer. Thanks Edited August 8, 2014 by AWS Quote Chris CS-Soft CS Network Come and Join the IRC Server
FPCH Admin AWS Posted January 16, 2004 FPCH Admin Posted January 16, 2004 You've got a bad stick of ram or your ram isn't seated correctly. I had the same problem and had a hard time finding the problem. After doing the same thing you did I opened the case and one of the sticks of ram was just slightly unseated. After reseating the ram the problem went away. Quote Off Topic Forum - Unlike the Rest
Chris00 Posted January 17, 2004 Author Posted January 17, 2004 thanks Bob I reseated the memory stick but that didn't seem to fix it, I hope it isn't broken. Quote Chris CS-Soft CS Network Come and Join the IRC Server

Thanks I had this same problem with a PC at work. What I did was reinstalled IE6 - But First I installed IE5 then did IE6. Not saying this will work for you but it did for me.
