LVPREV files NOW show up when I open my Pictures Library

Each time I Now import a picture into my lightroom 5 I find there are at least Two to Four other additional thumbnails images added to my current Pictures library folder which are not photo images Just the image I imported (Photo) and Two other thumbnails with letters and numbers and when I put my curser over this text it says: Type LRPREV files with Size 36.4kb Date Modified (date ).I have also noticed if I go out of it and return SOMETIMES it doubles up.

 

Is there a way I can DISABLE these thumbnails as it has only started to happen in the last 5 weeks and is growing soon I will have millions....???

 

I thought I go out and buy Adobe photoshop Lightroom 5 the missing FAQ which I have just done and it has no info on these files in this 532 page book.

 

So I think it must be a windows system problem as I today installed my tomtom/My Drive driver and there is a thumbnail of this tomtom hands logo in my pictures library.

 

I really would appreciate if there is someone who can explain why this is happening and help me in getting rid or hiding them as I have already downloaded 7000 or so pictures in the past couple of years and this is the 1st time it has happened.
