Error Oxc00000f a required device is inaccessible

I have an hp notebook pc. I have had no major problems with this system, But now when I turn it on, I am only getting a message that says: Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. 1. Insert your Windows disk and restart your computer....... My system did not come with a disc. I have no external devices attached to my computer and I have not made any changes, except I downloaded the update of my Norton antivirus protection. After I downloaded it, I ran a scan to check for any viruses because my computer had been starting slower, it had started doing a system launch sometimes at start up, but no viruses were detected. Now I cannot get any further than this screen???
