Original title: continue for hours (preventing normal functioning including internet acces and then ffailing and stopping. All effrots to remedy gthe probllem fail.

LIke other users windows fails always to install updates. All remedies so far have failed. Installation process may begin, continue for hours, then abort. During this time normal operation of the computer is impossible.
