Guest MalcolmRobb Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 I bought a Dell XP13 from the Microsoft Store and it came with Windows 7. I upgraded to Windows 8, 8.1 and 8.1 Update. I believe my PC has a virus and despite doing scans with Defender, it does not pick anything up. I am trying to do a Clean Install and went to PC Settings, Update and Recovery, Recovery and then tried all the options but I get a message saying " Insert Media. Some files are missing. Your windows installation or recovery media will provide these files" It then only gives me a Cancel option so I am stuck with what I have got. I can buy another copy of Windows 8.1 but am a bit loathed to do this and even if I did have a new disc I cannot get to a state to start. Any help and assistance is very much appreciated.
