Apple fires up its 2014 Back to School promotion, bag $100 on Macs, $50 on iPhones and iPads

Apple has launched its Back to School promotion for 2014, offering education customers free iTunes Store gift cards on qualified purchases. Essentially, purchasing a new Mac will bag you a $100 gift card, while an iPhone or iPad and reward you with $50. We've checked and confirmed the promotion is currently live in both the UK and US.

To be eligible for the promotion, you'll need to be a college or university student, a parent of a qualifying student or even a staff/faculty member. As well as these neat gift cards, Apple also offers education savings on supported Apple products too. Just like last year, the Back to School program will run through September 6.
