Items too large for Inspiron mini 10 - Windows XP

Hello all

 

 

Hope someone can help.

 

 

I have a Dell Inspiron Mini 10 - Windows XP and I have recently put it through a factory reset just to give it a new start as it seem to be runing slowly. Now that it's back the speede it fine however I have a problem with my screen. Everything it too big i.e. the icons, start button etc. It means when I have any program up I have to scroll all around. I have changed the zoom level for each individual programme however it doesn't help. I have been in control panel and tried to change the screen resoluntion however it doesn't allow me to scroll from one setting to another, which I guess was the solution.

 

 

I didn't have this problem before the factory reset, so I'm guessing it must me a easy soluntion which I'm not aware of. Is there a drive which I've missed off? I have downloaded all the updates which windows has sent through. Not sure what else do to.

 

 

If anyone can help I would appreciate it. Microsofts soluntion was 'buy a new PC', not helpful!.
